Mike is a most excellent technician. He figure out the problem and made sure both my landline and internet was operational. I have spent up to 3 weeks with the customer service line with little satisfaction, and Mike's professionalism and knowledge put my faith back with AT&T. Also - noted below ... I do not have U-verse. I have a landline and DSL. I have an appointment to have U-verse installed, but I might change my mind.

I SIGNED UP AND AT&T SENT THE EQUIPMENT RIGHT OUT. THEY SENT THE LINE MAN ON FRIDAY MORNING AND THE UNDERGROUND EXPERT AT NOON AND BY 2PM I WAS IN SERVICE. THE SIGNAL SEEMS STRONG AND RELIABLE WITH VIDEO DOWNLOAD SPEAKS OVER 2273 kbps.i didn't see my first bill yet..

I have never had such a horrible experience as I have with AT&T. When I called and was being transferred from one department to another, the call was dropped (only during the transfer, never during the actual call). I was told at one point that nothing was wrong with my line and another occasion was told there was. When I was able to have an appointment made for a technician to come to residence, the time was supposed to be between 8am and 12pm. The ticket emailed to me showed a different date than what was promised. Upon calling on the day I was told the tech would come, the person would just reiterate the ticket statement. Later that same day, 4:15pm, the technician arrived at my apartment. The only nice thing about this entire process was the technician. He was pleasant, sympathetic and very understanding. If it was for the fact that AT&T has monopolized the phone services in my location, I would have canceled my order on the second day.

Although the service was set up at the wrong apartment number, the customer service representatives were extremely apologetic and rushed our order to be set up at the correct address. Now that we have internet, it is great! It was easy to install and the internet speed has been great.
