Don't get confused—when you hear locals in Winston-Salem talking about the "Twin City," they're not making a vague reference to the frosty cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It's just one of the many nicknames the Dash enjoys, which speaks to the city's unique and diverse nature. Never lacking in cultural and historical gems, the "City of the Arts and Innovation" offers the West End Historic District and the Reynolda House Museum of American Art. Not to be outdone by its artsy scene, the innovative side of things is responsible for bringing Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the world, which—let's be honest—is probably the city's most important contribution to society.

Nicknames and doughnuts aren't all Winston has to offer. If you want a little mystery in your life, go to the Brookstown Inn and ask for room 401 (disclaimer: you might experience some paranormal activity), or try to hunt down the hidden Bath Branch Falls that are allegedly right in the middle of town but, inexplicably, nobody can find. For outdoor enthusiasts, Piedmont Quarry Lake and Vulcan Quarry offer experiences to remember.

Speaking of things to remember, you should probably get your internet taken care of. AT&T comes in clutch with packages made for your particular use. If your friends have saddled you with choosing where you're eating tonight, you'll have no problem looking up reviews about The Tavern in Old Salem for drinks or Sweet Potatoes for good old-fashioned comfort food. The Wake Forest Deacon Demons aren't featured on ESPN, but you'll have plenty of coverage of the Panthers with AT&T TV packages. And don't worry—your service won't have an issue if you take a drive to Hanging Rock on the weekend. Your signal will be as constant as that Carolina blue.

Its great love the service

I asked for service to start August 5th and was told that would be the case. Instead it was installed and activated by July 23rd. I was told I would not be billed for the time before I asked for service to start. Then I called and cancelled the service before it was supposed to start, and yet received a bill for almost $150 (my services were only $35 a month). Now I will have to wait until business hours (when I will be working) to call and have the charges corrected. Meanwhile, I also have to find a place to print a shipping label then take the modem they delivered 2 weeks early to be shipped back to AT&T, all on my own time, to avoid additional charges. This whole thing has been an incredible inconvenience. Every customer service person I spoke to was very kind and helpful, but so far all of them have either made a mistake or misled me and increased my overall dissatisfaction with AT&T. I'm glad I've decided not to switch to AT&T and I don't know that I ever will after this situation.

So far we really like the new u-verse system. I did have a great deal of problems getting to the right people for some questions I had. I think I was referred to about four or five different numbers. A couple of times I was being transferred and was cut off. Each time I had to start ALL over again with the same info and questions . This is not just AT&T ---all large companies are the same way. It seems the employees are unconcerned whether you are helped or not. I was very happy with the men that came to the house to do the installation. They were very patient and helpful when I ask my questions. One of them even called back later that day to see if things were going ok or if I had anymore questions.
