I hate to say this about a company that I respect as much as I do AT&T but my experience was a complete disappointment. Their salesman "Jordan" promised me 12 meg. "Jordan" told me I didn't need a phone jack. All I had to do was plug it in and it would work. She also promised me my billing wouldn't start until my unit was actually working. The first technician that supposedly came to my house (never saw them) to activate my service didn't. There was no way he/she could have. The drop from the pole to my house was down. When I called tech support they verified that my service was in fact already active. I told them that wasn't possible. They scheduled a service call and sent two guys to troubleshoot. Mike, one of the techs, told me that the line from the house was down and the wiring was so old he'd have to replace it all anyway. When he climbed the pole to get started he tested the connection and informed me that the BEST I could expect in download speed was 3 meg as I was too far from the "loop interface". At this point I canceled my Uverse. AT&T is, or at least was, the largest communications company on the planet. I find it disappointing that their sales people chose to lie to people. Sure, sales is what sales will be, but didn't "Jordan" think I'd find out I was only getting 3 meg eventually? As far as the service techs I did meet, Mike and Eric were two of the friendliest, competent and understanding men I've met. They were what I've come to expecting from AT&T. Too bad the rest of my AT&T experience wasn't as satisfying.

Installed on time. Serviceman very fast and did an excellent job. So far the internet is up and fine. Only complaint is the price of install. Should have let us do it ourselves.
