The person who installed the Internet service gets a 5. He set it up and it is working. Another person had to do something with our pots line and we were without phone service over the 4th of July weekend. This was fixed in a timely manner on Tuesday, though. This rep should get 5 stars, too. I had to speak with several phone reps to get everything set up. One, in particular, from South Carolina (I think) was helpful and nice. One woman, however, that I was connected to in the Philippines did not speak English well enough to be working in customer service. She seemed to have problems understanding many things I said, even when I spelled them out. This rep eventually hung up on me. If I hadn't already given AT&T my credit card #, I would have cancelled and gone with Comcast. As it is, I might switch when this year is over. I don't care where the rep is from, I just want to be able to get my order completed correctly. She would get a 0 from me.

I have been a loyal wireless phone customer for years, but when it came to trying to set up for wireless internet, I have to say that it was a PAIN. Automation, after automation, hold after hold, hours spent on the phone (seriously, no kidding). Set up account first time, but had to cancel a few days later because my area wasn't serviced by AT&T (wasn't told this upfront). Then found out area was serviced, so had to re-setup. Was informed I would have internet by the following Tuesday, just to get a confirmation email that I would not have internet until the end of the month; a full 24 days later. I can't rate the quality of the product service because I do not have it yet, but as for customer service...I have to say that you definitely do not get a gold star. On a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being best), I would rate the set up experience a "0". I HOPE to rate the product service at a "5".
