What is U-verse?

What is U-verse TV, Internet, Phone Check U-verse Availability

U-verse is AT&T's latest communications network that utilizes fiber-optic technology to provide customers with digital television, high-speed Internet and digital voice. The fiber-optic lines are made up of small strands of glass which allow data to be transmitted at the speed of light. Since the fiber-optics are hard wired, you don't need line of sight (like Satellite TV) and weather will not cause outages in service.

How does the U-verse Total Home DVR® work?

The U-verse Total Home DVR® offers unique features, but is easy to use. It records up to 4 shows at the same time, on a single DVR, from any room in your house, and also:

  • Supports up to 8 TVs on a single DVR
  • HD-ready
  • Delivers 100% digital audio and video
  • Pauses live TV
  • Rewinds, pauses or fast forwards recorded shows
  • Plays recorded content on different TVs at the same time
  • Records up to 233 hours in SD or 65 hours of
    HD content
